The Egyptian Collection:
Most of the collection came from Benjamin or ‘Benny’ Kent, a farmer from Tatefield Hall in Beckwithshaw on the outskirts of Harrogate. Among the collection is a 26th Dynasty sarcophagus.
Above is a painted wooden coffin, which belonged to a male priest of the god Amun, and is from Thebes c1000BC.
